Working women encouraged to attend networking event

A NETWORKING EVENT aimed at female business owners or working women will help them to promote themselves and develop their business in the region.

The Moray Business Women’s Club (MBWC) are behind the Open Evening event – and are urging all working women to become involved.

MBWC celebrated their 10th anniversary last year – now the club president, Marie Smith, is urging women to attend on March 2 and Elgin Town Hall from 6.30pm.

She said: “The showcase night is open to all working women in and around Moray, whether they own their own business or are an employee. You don’t have to be a member to come along, but it is also a great opportunity to learn about Moray Business Women’s Club and the benefits that it provides.

“There will be women who have been in business for a long time and those that are just starting out, so it is also an opportunity to learn from each other, inspire and be inspired.

“This is the third year that we have staged the showcase and, with a new location, it’s looking as though it’s going to be another great night.

“We have lots of stalls booked where businesses can promote themselves, their company or sell their products. We also have a number of speakers lined up to talk about their own business experiences.

“However, what this event is really about is getting working women together to network.

“There is no better way to do business and secure business than networking and with the number of people that have booked to attend this event, we expect it will be one of our biggest networking events of the year.
