A POSSIBLE INDECENT assault in broad daylight on Forres High Street has prompted a police appeal for the potential female victim to come forward.

Local police say that they are investigating incidents that happened on Monday, August 24 at around 4.10pm at the bus stop on the High Street in Forres at its junction with Gordon Street.

CCTT footage appears to show a woman with long, dark curly hair and of medium build being approached by two men on different occasions.

Both men appeared to attempt to engage the woman in conversation. The first man is said to be in his early 60’s and has short, thinning grey hair, is of stocky build and was wearing a grey jacket. He is also believed to speak with an Inverness accent.

A second man who approached the woman later is reported to be in his early 30s, approximately 6ft tall and with short, blonde hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark T-Shirt with white writing on the front.

While it is understood that the woman did not come to any harm police are keen to speak to her – she is thought to have got on the No10 Stagecoach bus that runs from Forres to Aberdeen.

Police are asking that the woman contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
