AN ELGIN CHARITY is hosting a Stovie Dance to raise funds for blind and deaf people in Moray.

The North East Sensory Services (NESS) Stovie Dance is taking place on September 29 at the Mansion House Hotel in Elgin.

NESS is the leading provider of sensory services for blind and deaf people in Scotland, with resource centres in Elgin, Aberdeen and Dundee. The charity offers practical support and advice to those affected by a sensory impairment, as well a social clubs and groups for all ages, including young people and elderly service users.

Entertainment on the night will come from Lossiemouth male/female duo Bedhead and it is hoped it will raise funding for a charity that supports more than 6500 people throughout the north east of Scotland who have serious sight and/or hearing loss.

NESS has a resource centre in Elgin, which holds regular social work drop-in sessions, as well as providing social clubs, and practical and emotional advice to people living with sensory loss.
