THE MORAY CHAMBER of commerce is gearing up for its third annual business awards – this year being held at the Elgin Golf Club on November 15.
Their will again be four awards this year – SME of the Year, Most Promising Enterprise, Tourism Business Award and a Community Tourism Award.
This year the awards lunch is a ‘book end’ to an exciting schedule of Moray Business Week events, and will close the week with a celebration.
The winning of these awards has raised the profile of businesses in previous years – George Goudsmit of AES Solar commented on winning SME of the Year 2016 saying: “The occasion has boosted our morale hugely and has enabled us to be a closer team achieving bigger goals”.
Another of the winners from last year, Stuart Cox of ‘I Like Birds’ has achieved much since winning the award of Most Promising Enterprise 2016 and mentioned that “since the award ceremony we’ve signed a number of deals with “best in class” licensing partners that will take our designs – proudly “Made in Moray” – across the globe”.
This year’s guest speaker will demonstrate many areas of successful business within Moray including E-Commerce and Campaign Supporting. Sarah Holmes of Pencil Me In has taken her business from strength to strength since bringing it to Batchen Street, Elgin including winning ‘Best Retail’ in the Elgin Bid Awards 2016.
Anyone in Moray who believes that their business is the perfect candidate for one of the awards, or if they would like to nominate someone, then the application forms and criteria online on Moray Chamber’s News Posts here.
