Over 300 people attended the Scottish Women’s Awards 2019 last week, when inspiring women were rewarded for their successes over the last year.

The Awards honoured the talent and hard work of female professionals and entrepreneurs across Scotland. They celebrated the achievements of women entrepreneurs, businesswomen, professionals, civil servants, charity workers and others that make Scotland a great and more equal place to live and work. The night highlighted the achievements of women in many roles across sectors of industry. These include business, sport, technology, management and charity.

Moray Chamber of Commerce attended the award ceremony, and were delighted when it was announced that their Chief Executive, Sarah Medcraf, had won the Women of Influence award.

Commenting, Sarah Medcraf said: “It was an absolute honour to be shortlisted and in a category of such brilliant women. To be awarded the accolade is really special to me and I want to thank my peers for nominating me and the judges for recognising the work I do in Moray Speyside and beyond.”
