A NUMBER OF HOUSEBREAKINGS in the Aberlour area has prompted an appeal for assistance from Police Scotland.

The incidents happened during the evening of Friday, September 8 into the early hours of the following day.

It is understood a Red MG ZR which has since been recovered may have been involved. Power tools and home maintenance equipment were stolen which have also been recovered.

Constable Paul Smith said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the vehicle mentioned in the Aberlour area to contact us. We would urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.

“We would also ask that the public are aware of stolen property which may be offered for sale.”
