POLICE IN BUCKIE have confirmed that action has been taken against two teenage girls following video footage that appeared on social media.

In a statement released this afternoon, Police Scotland said that they were aware of the footage regarding an alleged assault on a 13-year-old girl on West Cathcart Street in the town on Wednesday (October 4).

Following their enquiries, Police said that two teenagers aged 13 and 14 have now been charged in connection with the incident, with a report being submitted to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
