Ballindalloch transforms into a fairytale kingdom for a day

Balindalloch Castle
SPEYSIDE’S VERY OWN fantasy castle is to host an event that will spark the imagination of children when it is suitably decked out as a ‘Fairtytale Kingdom’ next week.

Ballindalloch Castle will become the centre of attention as part of the Aberlour Children’s Charity 140th anniversary celebrations when the castle and grounds host a fairytale walk.

The 2km walk will see children dressed as princes and princesses, knights, super-heroes – or anything else their imaginations can conjure from the magic kingdom fantasy world.

A spokesman said: “The grounds at Ballindalloch will be decorated like a fairytale kingdom should be – and throughout the day children can take part in the sponsored activity walk which will include a singalong corner, dress-up photobooth, crafts and face-painting.

“There will be a great deal more on a wonderful fantasy day out for all the family.”

To take part on Saturday, June 13 from 1pm to 5pm, children should register online and pay a £5 entry fee to receive their sponsorship pack.

Each child is asked to raise £20 in sponsorship, payable either on the day or afterwards.

All entry fees and sponsorship funds will be donated to fund Aberlour’s work with children.  Sponsorship packs and details are available now online.
