Aberlour’s Christmas Mart makes the UK’s Top Ten list

SUMMER MAY BE a distant memory but with Christmas now in the air there remains plenty reason to visit Moray – and according to a new top-ten listing, one Moray village can expect a few winter guests.

Visitors to Moray have been responsible for placing a variety of Moray attractions into the UK Top Ten lists produced by tourism website holidaylettings.co.uk – a Trip Advisor subsidiary.

The latest in the roll of honour is the Aberlour Christmas Market, which this year will take place on December 8.

“With an array of craft stalls, gourmet food and drink, a raffle and Christmas games, this delightful festival is well worth a visit,” the report says of the Moray villagers efforts, placing them in sixth position in the top ten attractions throughout the UK.

The report adds: “Santa will be there too, so make sure the kids have got their Christmas lists ready!”

It is not just Aberlour that gets a thumbs-up, with the report concluding: “The scenic area of Moray Speyside is the setting for this Christmas market.

“Running from Forres along the coast to Cullen, this beautiful landscape is just waiting to be explored – pack your winter woolies and book a cosy rental the whole family will love.”

The Aberlour Christmas Market is hosted by the Speyside Rotary Club and runs from 4pm until 8pm on December 8.
